Paradox
The next day Jeremy Creek awoke in a Luthorcorp lab where he was treated for his injuries. He was greeted by Dr. Molly Griggs.

"What have I done?", Jeremy asked himself.

Molly told him, "You defended yourself Jeremy. Those men were going to kill you, and Lex."

Jeremy said, "They were good men--highly decorated police officers. They were chosen from hundreds of their peers to have special powers--powers to fight crime, powers to save lives...and I killed them. I have to get out of here".

Molly sat down beside Jeremy and put her hand on his shoulder. She said, "Do you know how much money Lex has invested in this project? Lex isn't going to watch you walk away."

"I don't care", Jeremy replied. "After what I've done I deserve to die."

Molly broke down in tears.

Jeremy said, "I'm sorry Molly. Please don't cry. Lex will find another test subject. Why does it have to be me?"

"Because I love you!", she screamed.

Jeremy was shocked. He had no idea Molly felt this way. He walked toward her to comfort her. Jeremy put his arms around her and told her, "I'm sorry, Molly. I can't stay here".
